The Artist's Life . . a Biography

"Stargazers Arts and Crafts"

I walk each day, hand in hand with my husband, my son, and my Lord and as long as I lay my head down at night knowing I've done my best that day, I can feel good about who I am as a person on this planet.

At 40, I've learned to embrace life with enthusiasm, living it as if it were the first time, through the eyes of our little boy. There is so much beauty in the world, and if once in a while we take the time to lift our heads from the confusion and frustration that often becomes our lives, we can draw that beauty into our hearts.

My life is a palette of experiences that seems to have begun when I was about three years old. It's not hard to remember how easily I took to crafting things and how much joy it gave me because it's the same thing that drives me now - I think they call it 'passion'.

At the age of 10, I joined a Christian organization called 'Children of the Church' and it was here that my passion and love of crafting came into full being. The feel of creating something beautiful with my own hands offered me a sense of accomplishment and wonder. Couple that with a little pride in my own work well done, and you have a recipe for a future business owner and artistan.

Stargazer's Arts and Crafts was born from the masterminding of my good friend and business partner, Shirley Leitch in 1998 and myself, in the pursuit of an outlet to unleash a bevy of pent up creative energy. Faux stained glass is an interesting mix of colour and technique, offering a financially reasonable work of art to the general public that mimics beautifully, the stained glass effect. Some days, my hands ache from working the pieces together, but the desire to create drives the pain to a distance and I continue working as long as I can.

I have two brothers and a sister and although one of those siblings has gone to sit in God's Garden, he still walks with me. I don't believe death is the finality some would have us believe, but instead, I believe it is the beginning of a beautiful journey to places and adventures of unimaginable experience and joy by God's invitation.

I walk with God and God walks with me and it is this and my love of life that gives me joy in the first morning giggle of my little boy and the ability to live in the warm embrace of my beautiful husband when he holds me at the end of a long day.

I am an artist of great faith.
Thank you and God Bless,

Pam
