"Jacques Vincelette"

Jacques Vincelette was born and raised in Ottawa where the expressive beauty of the landscape inspired his interest for earth’s history and geology.

He has been carving stone since 1991 and discovered a passionate draw to semi-precious stones while going from one alternative fair to another in England. He later met Andy Parker, the owner of a little shop in Ulverston called "The Agate House" where he spent many hours in conversation. Those conversations eventually led to an apprenticeship in lapidary work. Jacques moved back to Canada and pursued his passion further by becoming an active member of the Montreal Gem & Mineral Club with the mandate of encouraging the public interest in stones, gems and minerals.
